Choosing Your Music PDF Print E-mail

This is a very personal decision.  The music you choose for your video directly effects the emotional impact of the final production.  There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing your music...

1. Who is your video for?
The main audience of your video, usually the subjects of the video, should be very influential when choosing your music.  For example, if you are the mother of the Groom and are planning a video for your Son's wedding, choose music the Bride and Groom will like.  You may love Country Music, but they may not!  Find out if they have a song together and what genre of music they listen to.

2. What time period(s) are your photos from?
When producing Anniversary or Family videos that include photos from the 1930's, 40's and 50's, I always try to pick songs from that era to compliment the photographs.  If you are looking for some songs from these eras, please check out our Song Suggestion List.  You can also browse many online music stores for song ideas.
